Current Watchlist: BLOOM (Bloomberry Resorts Corp), MWC (Manila Water Co Inc), COSCO (Cosco Capital Inc), LPZ (Lopez Holdings Corp)
The dataset is only for the period 01-05 July 2013. This definitely doesn’t give us a complete picture, but it can give us some ideas.
BLOOM
MWC
LPZ
This is actually a very important dataset to have, did you compile this manually or is this available somewhere? (Whether paid or gratis)

The data are available and accessible in various trading accounts, part of the service provided by the online brokers, at least by my online broker. 🙂

Which broker are you using? The Technistock-based online brokers (BPITrade, Metrosec) will show buyers/sellers and volume traded, but only on a daily basis. They don’t provide a way to aggregate across a date period.

Ah, I see. I’m using COL for this one.

Ah ok, I guess that’s the advantage of going with CitisecOnline. More complex features. The disadvantage of course, would be that idle money in your brokerage account does not earn interest unlike with BPITrade and FirstMetro. Even at .5 to 1.5% interest, that can make a difference if you have a fairly big balance.

Oh, nice. I didn’t know that. I also have a BPITrade account. Incidentally, I do have some idle money there, for a few years now; but, it’s really nothing compared to the amount invested in stocks. Still, that’s good to know. Thanks!

Broker analysis not as useful as it used to be since fundies have learned to diversify broker activities and actual net trades to mask what they are doing. Suggest focusing flow analysis to raw net foreign activity and value turnover reviews since these can provide us with more nuanced understanding of what “smart folks” are doing… or whether they’re even “smart” at all. 🙂

Thanks for the very useful insight. Yes, must also look at flows. 🙂
